Trino Motion Pictures is an award-winning African film production, international sales, content acquisition, marketing, and distribution company, proudly rooted in Lagos, Nigeria. Since 2016, we have been driven by a single, unwavering conviction: that authentic African stories, told with craft, courage, and love for the art, have the power to move audiences anywhere in the world.
We believe African stories deserve the world's biggest stages. Not because they come from Africa, but because great stories know no borders.
Our mission is to bring them to audiences everywhere with authenticity and excellence.

We tell stories from start to finish.
It begins with an idea. We develop it into a screenplay, bring it to life through production, and make sure it reaches the audiences it was made for.
Every project starts with one simple question: Does this story deserve to be told? If the answer is yes, we pour our hearts into making it the best it can be.
We also work with writers, directors, producers, and creators across Africa who share our love for storytelling. We believe the best stories come from different voices, experiences, and perspectives, and we're proud to bring those stories to life.
Through our Content Acquisition and Sales team, we find outstanding African films and connect them with cinemas, television networks, and streaming platforms around the world, helping more people discover stories from the continent.

Trino Motion Pictures boasts a diverse and impactful filmography. Our catalogue includes eight feature films and eight short films spanning drama, comedy, thriller, romance, family, and historical stories.
Our productions are crafted to resonate with audiences globally, distributed across domestic and international cinemas, major streaming platforms and cable channels.
Feature Films:
One of the defining moments in our journey came with The Weekend (2024). Directed by Daniel Oriahi, it became the first independently produced Nigerian film to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. The film later screened at the BFI London Film Festival, won an Africa Movie Academy Award, and went on to stream on HBO Max across Central and Eastern Europe and Canal+ in more than 60 French-speaking territories.
Our films are available on Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max, Canal+, Kava, Circuit TV and in cinemas worldwide.

We believe a great film does not end when the credits roll. It lingers in the mind, in the heart, and in the music.
Every Trino production is accompanied by an original motion picture soundtrack, composed to deepen the emotional world of each film.
Our original soundtrack albums are available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Audiomack, Boomplay and Amazon Music, because the story deserves to be felt long after the screen goes dark.
